God’s Own Kitchen is a an endeavour to present the cuisine of the Malabar region located in Kerala in the most authentic and pristine way, just like you would eat a meal at home in Kannur or Palakkad. The menu is carefully curated to help you explore the traditional dishes which you would not find unless you are in the Malabar region. The vision of God’s Own Kitchen is to be true to the roots it belongs and present this culinary delight with great flavours and unique home style cooking.

About the region and the cuisine:

Caressed by the Arabian Sea and guarded by the Western Ghats, the Malabar region of Kerala comprises districts of Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, and Kasaragod. Its incredible history, the unfathomable heritage and the alluring spices makes it one of the most fascinating and exclusive region in Kerala. Its culinary traditions were influenced by rural food practices, foreign influence and internal migration. This distinctive cuisine has the flavors of Arab, Brahmin, Zamorin and Chirakkal cuisines. Our cooking is inspired by the uniqueness of two districts Kannur and Palakkad with diverse food cultures even though from the same region. Our style of cooking is traditional home recipes that are handed down through generations. Each dish we believe is an experience in itself. From the enormous platters of vegetarian to the range of non-vegetarian dishes to the sweet and savoury delicacies, cooked with locally sourced authentic herbs and spices. We are sure the cuisines we present to you will take you on a flavourful culinary experience of delight and new discoveries! We present this food in dedication to our Grand Mothers, Mothers and Mothers-in-law who have been a great influence in the recipes and cooking style.
